Stars being created to represent human beings

Sayyid Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani(q)’s Subah on the Stars being created to represent human beings
“Today I met a physicist who works in the space field, who said she “weighs the stars.” I asked her how does she weigh stars, with a scale? She said, “By their light,” as every star emits light. Then I mentioned some stars are smaller but they emit more light. She said, “Yes, that is true, and some of the bigger stars emit less light.” Our conversation ended there, because it wasn’t a place to give a suhbah. In reality, Allah (swt) created the stars to represent human beings. Everyone has a star that corresponds to them and you can’t find two human beings with the same star. Allah (swt) honored every human being with a unique star with his own reality, as we know from the verse:وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَWa laqad karamnaa Bani Adam.

We have honored the Children of Adam. (Surat al-Israa, 17:70)

“We have honored the human being,” can have an infinite number of interpretations, and human beings have no capacity to really understand the honor given to them because Allah (swt) gives according to His Greatness that cannot be measured or described, so no matter what you understand, the real meaning is higher. A created person cannot understand the Creator because whatever you understand is within limits. So according to the interpretations that Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) is sending us, Allah (swt) honored everyone with a specific star that emits light and this corresponds to, Wa laqad zayyanna as-samaa’ ad-dunya bi-masaabeeha:

وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاء الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُومًا لِّلشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِيرِ

Wa laqad zayyanna as-samaa’ ad-dunya bi-masaabeeha wa ja`alnaahaa rujooman li ’sh-shayaateeni wa `atadnaa lahum `adhaaba s-sa`eer.

And we have (from old) adorned the lowest Heaven with lamps, and We have made such (lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the evil ones, and have prepared for them the penalty of the blazing Fire. (Surat al-Mulk, 67:5)

Allah (swt) said, “We have decorated the first level of this universe, as-samaa’ ad-dunya,” He didn’t say, “jannat ad-dunya” or, “jannat al-akhirah,” but He said, “samaa’,” which means there are levels in the universe. Scientists have found levels and they now understand this a little. He said, as-samaa’ ad-dunya, “the nearest level to dunya,” and Allah (swt) decorated it with stars. Wa ja`alnaahaa rujooman lish-shayaateeni, “We made it for stoning (pelting) the shayaateen.” Allah (swt) made these stars for pelting. Who did Allah make to pelt shayaateen with stones? The people who go to Hajj! This means that Allah ordered the people who went on Hajj to be shooting stars against Shaytan, for the universe and for humanity. Every stone you throw, and you throw seven stones on Hajj, is an indication that you are a star whose light decorates the first level of the sky, samaa’ ad-dunya. That is Allah’s (swt) honor for you and everyone, so if you want to reach that honor, go on Hajj at least once in your lifetime and it will open the reality that makes your star a shooting star on devils!

That is an honor that Allah (swt) gave to Muslims, not just to anyone. And on top of that, the one who makes Hajj doesn’t shoot devils with that star, but its light is like a red bullet moving in the skies. Imam as-Suyuti (r) said in his Tafseer Surat al-Fil that each of the birds carried three stones, one in his beak and two in his claws, and when they threw their pebbles they traveled at a high speed that made them like red, spinning stones shooting from a volcano. I have explained before that these stones look like red-hot bullets that appear as lights when they are shot at night. So whoever goes on Hajj and shoots their pebbles on the big Shaytan, Iblees, that honor is given to them by Allah (swt).”
